Our Ministries

If we are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27) then we are to be about Christ’s mission, with the same power Christ had – the Holy Spirit! This is best summarized by the four relationships each believer should cultivate, which are: worship to God, fellowship with other believers, sharing the "good news" with the world, and service to the broken. If a believer desires to grow in their spiritual life and in their ministry to others, the challenge is to consider these four relationships and invest your heart in the ministry where God places you.

Kid's Ministry

Here at Stanwood, we place a high priority on the ministry of our children. The children are not only the future leaders of the church of tomorrow, but also members of the church today. Hence, we feel a major responsibility to families within the body at Stanwood to offer a ministry that will teach children the Word of God and foundational truths by which each child can grow.

We wish to join hands with you and share the responsibilities of training your child in Christian concepts. We recognize the importance of the early years, when first impressions of "church" are being formed. Together we can lay the foundations of faith and trust. The church members who minister in the nursery will gently and consistently provide for your child's needs so he or she will find coming to church a pleasant experience.

We offer 9:00 AM Sunday School classes for kids in Pre-k through 6th grade and

Children's Church during the 10:15 AM Worship Service for those 4yrs old -5th grade.

Nursery care for the younger ones is also provided during the Worship Service.

Community Groups

The primary purpose for our Community Groups is for Stanwood to consistently commit as brothers and sisters on an intimate level for growth as Disciples of Christ. We will seek a greater level of relational intimacy with God and church family through the Word, prayer, accountability, and service.

Meeting times and days vary, so c
ontact us to get involved with a group.

Youth Ministry

In a broad stroke, we believe that there are five biblical reasons we exist. Discipleship, Ministry, Evangelism, Worship, and Fellowship. These are the outlets in which our youth can encounter Jesus Christ, and then discover and grow the giftedness that the Holy Spirit has enabled them with.

As we encounter Christ and strive to live our lives for Him, we want to lift each other up, give ourselves to the world around us, build up the Body, and worship our King.

Regular Youth Group for grades 6-12 typically meets 5:45-8 PM on Sunday evenings unless other events are scheduled. Contact us if you have questions or are interested in checking it out.

Men's Ministry

We believe that the discipleship of men is a vital component of the Church. All men serve a role - whether as a father, son, brother, or friend - and we seek to be men of purpose and calling in these roles. Our aim is to  grow in Christ alongside each other while we study His Word, use our gifts for service, and encourage one another through fellowship. We host annual retreats, seasonal Bible studies, service opportunities, and occasional meals that all men are welcome to attend.
